Twenty year old Korean pianist Sae Yoon Chon started playing the piano at age of six.  He continued studying at Yewon Art School and the Seoul Art High School. His teachers included Professor Hyoung-Joon Chang and Ms. Sae-Kyung Park. Currently Sae Yoon continues his studies at the Glenn Gould School of the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, Canada as a pupil of Professors John O’Conor and James Anagnoson.

Sae Yoon has been awarded numerous prizes in prestigious piano competitions in Korea,  including the Steinway Piano Competition, the Korea Liszt Competition, and the Seoul Art High School Competition.  He has also participated in other international piano competitions during the past three years, in which he earned 3^rd Prize at the Cooper International Piano Competition in Oberlin, Ohio; 4^th Prize at the Hilton Head International Piano Competition for Young Artists, First Prize and the Best Classical Work Player award in the Hanoi International Piano Competition, 2^nd Prize in the Isidor Bajic Memorial Piano Competition in Novisad, Serbia, and 3^rd Prize in the International Festival and Competition for Young Pianists “Astana Piano Passion”.

Sae Yoon has been presented in many concerts in South Korea and the United States.  He has performed with the Cleveland Orchestra, the Astana Symphony Orchestra, the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra and the Hanoi Philharmonic Orchestra, and has collaborated with conductors  Jahja Ling, Erzhan Dautov, and Jakyung Year.  He has also participated in various master classes in Korea, Canada, Germany, Ireland, and the USA.  Among his many recital appearances was the Prodigy Recital held by the Kumho Asiana Cultural Foundation, the most important and highly competitive event in Korea.
