Ryunosuke Kishimoto

Ryunosuke was born in Kanagawa, Japan. He is a student at Hokurei Senior High School. He is studying piano with Noriyuki Miyazawa and Mizue Tanase at the Sapporo Conservatoire. In 2016 he won first prize at the 70th Student Music Concours of Japan, and he has won scholarships from the Yasuko Fukuda Foundation and the Kanpo Seimei Foundation. Other more recent accomplishments include a silver prize and scholarship from Seitoku University for participation in the 41st Piano Teacher’s National Association of Japan Piano Competition, second prize and an audience prize in the 72nd Student Music Concours of Japan, and he was a semi-finalist at the Cleveland International Piano Competition for Young Artists in 2018. Earlier this year Ryunosuke played with the Chitose Philharmonic Orchestra. Recent recitals include performances in Kanon Hall, Ruthern Hall, and at Minato Mirai Hall in Yokohama .
He has taken lessons and master classes with numerous well-known educators including Vladimir Ovchinnikov (Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory) and with Takahiro Hoshino, Andrey Shibko, Alexandra Makarevich , Alexander Vershinin, Yves Henry, Dmitry Lyudkov, Ewa Kupiec, Dag Achatz, and Bruce Brubaker. He is currently the Yasuko Fukuda Foundation scholarship student.
