Our engaging and inspiring evening features savory delights for both your ears and your palate, featuring:

An intimate solo recital from internationally acclaimed pianist George Li (Silver Medalist at the 2015 International Tchaikovsky Competition and recipient of a 2016 Avery Fisher Career Grant). Many of our longtime supporters recall George’s 2010 recital here at age 14—which was the inspiration for our Young Artists competition launched in 2011—and also his 2014 performance of the Grieg Concerto with the HHSO and Maestro JMR!  In addition, our Director Steve Shaiman will interview George to learn the latest news about his thriving career!

Plus, to begin the evening, we welcome the HHSO String Quartet, comprised of the orchestra’s principal string players!  They will serenade us with a Haydn quartet, and then George Li will join them for the rousing opening movement of Schumann’s ever-popular Piano Quintet!
