Join us for an engaging evening of seasonal favorites as our 2022-23 recital series continues with British pianist Simon Mulligan at SoundWaves!

The Hilton Head International Piano Competition proudly presents internationally renowned classical and jazz pianist, Simon Mulligan, in a program of holiday-themed music for solo piano.  Longtime residents and fans of the HHSO may recall Simon’s concerto debut with the orchestra in 2009 (celebrating Mendelssohn’s 200th birthday year), and we are delighted to welcome him back for his first performance at SoundWaves!

Inspired by his December 2022 YouTube series, “A Musical Advent Calendar,” Simon will play a selection of Holiday classics, including popular hits from the Great American Songbook.  Simon is a Steinway Artist who has recorded over forty hours of music for the Steinway Spirio (their high-resolution player piano), along with numerous CD’s for the Steinway & Sons record label–including “Christmas at Steinway Hall.”
