Quanlin Wang

Quanlin Wang was born in China. She began receiving piano lessons at the age of four, holding her first recital at 10. In 2010, she began studying in Beijing with Professor Chen Manchun. In 2013, she was admitted to the Middle School of the Central Conservatory of Music with the highest entrance exam score for her cohort. She is currently studying in Germany at the Hannover University of Music, Drama and Media in the class of Professor Bernd Goetzke.

Quanlin has won prizes at several international piano competitions including first prize and the Orchestra Award in the Santa Cecilia International Piano Competition (Portugal), second prize and the Audience Prize in the Città di Cantù International Piano Competition (Italy), first prize and the award for Best Performance of a Romantic piece in the Kaufmann International Piano Competition in New York.

Quanlin has performed concerts in China, Germany, Italy, the United States and Spain, and has been invited to many international music festivals including the Hammerklavier International Piano Festival in Spain, the International Young Artist Piano Festival in Germany, and the Beijing International Music Festival. Beginning in 2012, she was invited to record performances on China’s Central Television national broadcasts.

As a soloist, Quanlin has appeared with many Orchestras including the Portuguese Philharmonic Orchestra, the Mihail Jora Philharmonic Orchestra of Romania and the Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra Wernigerode in Germany. In 2019 she had a concert tour in Germany with the South German Chamber Orchestra Pforzheim.

Quanlin’s debut album will be released in 2022.
